The Integra 2008 International Festival ‘Fusing music and technology’ took place at Birmingham Conservatoire on 5-7 June 2008, alongside the Integra 2008 International Conference. The Festival was the culmination of the first three years of the EU-funded Integra project, and over three days of performances of mixed media and music with live electronics featured concerts from five leading European new music ensembles.

Integra 2008 showcased seven new works commissioned by the project – four of which were world premieres – and six seminal works from the history of live electronic music, whose obsolete technology had been modernised by the Integra project teams.
