Saxophone and Dynamic Feedback Solos
Joe Wright
This release documents the practical aspects of Joe Wright’s research into accessible sonic play instruments. This work has involved the creation of a feedback system that disrupts conventional interactions with the saxophone, designed to strike a balance between control and chaos. Saxophone and Dynamic Feedback Solos features several improvisations with this system, each of which explores one of the altered performer-instrument relationships it facilitates.

Some people spend late Autumn afternoons everywhere and nowhere, crucified and resurrected in a period of fifteen hours. Some people don’t.
The EP features two tracks with algorithmically controlled binaural sound spatialisation: a noise improvisation followed by a hard-techno remix.
